For the summer of 2014, our plan was to sail around the UK. We went in a clockwise direction, and aimed to spend a good amount of time in Scotland, to go around Cape Wrath and visit the Orkneys rather than using the Caledonian Canal.

We expected to finish on the East Coast in September but the availability of berthing made it more attractive to return to the south coast and thereby complete a circumnavigation of the UK.
