We anchored for a walk and lunch in the Summer Isles. I'm afraid that apart from the view we didn't see much of note - and then headed up to Lochinver.

The signpost to Lochinver is the imposing mount of Suilven - appearing as distinctive round-topped pillar when seen from the sea.

Lochinver has large facilities for landing fish - including (land) loading docks for about a dozen HGVs. It also now has a decent set of pontoons for visiting yachts and what seemed to be a fairly active boatyard for work on yachts. Its a fair walk from the pontoons to the town at the end of the loch - but once there we were surprised by the number of hotels/B&B or restaurants. I think it shows the importance of tourism locally, but also that Lochinver is developing a reputation as a 'gastro-destination'.
