It was a very straightforward and relatively short sail down the coast with a moderate wind on our beam.

The current in the river was surprisingly strong, and we'd timed it so we arrived a bit before high water. That meant that we went past the visitors moorings and spun around to face into the current for mooring. That gives better control and will suit us for leaving in the morning.

After a pint of Adnams - very much the local beer - we took our bicycles to visit some of Walberswick village and Southwold town.
